The Ganga Aarti on the both sides of Ganga River bank makes an enchanting sight to appreciate. Built by king Vikram in the 1st century, the Har-ki-Pauri Ghat arranges the marvellous Ganga Aarti in the evening when the sun's last rays reflect off the untamed waters of the river Ganga.
This ritualistic ceremony fills the air with holy songs and prayers offered by the devotees. Dias or oil lamps are used to perform this beautiful ceremony. The Ganga aarti is offered two times a day, in the morning during sunrise and in the evening during sunset.
Situated in Hardwar, Har Ki Pari, is place where River Ganga touches the plain for first time after flowing through the Himalayas. Thus this place holds great religious significance and attracts large number of devotees and visitors with a view to earn the blessings of Holy Ganga by offering their prayers.
Recognized as one of the most sacred ghats in Haridwar as well as in India, Har ki Puri manifest great serenity and peace all time. Prayer offered with lighted candles and diyas floating across the river create an awe-inspiring sight. Located on the top of neel parvat, this temple is one of the most famous pilgrimage where every year large number of devotees gather to worship Goddess Chandi. Built by the king of kashmir. the Chandi Devi temple is very popular among the trekkers also because of the fascinating height. This temple sees huge gatherings of devotees in festive season, mainly during chandi chaudas, Navratra and the kumbh mela. Through the cable cart, Chandi devi temple gives breath taking view of haridwar.
Dedicated to Goddess Manasa, Manasa Devi temple nestling on the top of Shivalik Hills, is one of the most significant pilgrim spot believed to hold great religious importance. This temple is visited by large number of devotes every year to earn the blessing of Goddess Manasa.
